無印良品の食の冊子「おいしさのもと」に掲載されている
西加奈子さんの小説の挿絵を描かせていただきました。
とてもキャッチーで美味しそうな食べ物の匂いや時間の流れ、風を感じるお話だなぁと思い、私自身が読んだ時に浮かんだ景色をそのまま描かせていただきました。
読み終えた後にこのシーンの絵かなぁなど想像していただけたらなお嬉しいです。

I had the pleasure of creating an illustration for a short story by Kanae Nishino featured in MUJI’s food booklet “Oishisa no Moto.”
The story felt very vivid and evocative—I could almost sense the aroma of the food, the passage of time, and even the movement of the air. I illustrated the scene just as it appeared in my mind while reading.
I would be very happy if, after reading the story, you imagine that this might be one of its scenes.
The booklet has been available at MUJI stores since last week.
It’s filled with everything about curry, so I hope you’ll pick up a copy if you have the chance!
